A Trip to Iceland, Part 2

Fjaðrárgljúfur

Fjaðrárgljúfur

I wrote a few days ago about my recent trip to Iceland with models Aubrey and Brooke Lynne.  The photos I included were from the first few days of the trip, when we were in the capital, Reykjavik, and the next two days in the southwest of the country, visiting several famous waterfalls.
This next segment will cover the next few days, when we headed further east and were mostly in the southeastern part of Iceland.  This included stops near Dyrholaey and at the black sand beach near Vik (one of the most memorable stops on my trip to Iceland in 1995), the canyon at Fjaðrárgljúfur (one of the most anticipated places to visit this time), Skaftafell National Park with the Svartifoss waterfall and then the Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon.
Finally, and best of all, we got to meet Icelandic photographer Siggi Marason, who I had been corresponding with online for a number of months.  Siggi had been very helpful by aiding me in the planning of my trip, and I owe him a debt of thanks for his doing so.  He prepared for us a great dinner at his home and he took us to one of his favorite local photo locations, where we did some photography together that evening and again the following morning.  Takk fyrir, my friend!
