Great Dane

Untitled Nude, 2012

So, all of a sudden the weather has gotten chilly.  I was wearing short sleeve shirts with no undershirt outodoors last week, and now I’m feeling cold here in my apartment.
This turn in the weather has had an effect on my photography.  I had made plans to photograph a new model outdoors this past Sunday, hoping to get in one more outdoor photo session for the year, but the forecast for Sunday was cold and rain.  Being cold is one thing, being wet is one thing, but cold and wet together is not a good combination for a model.
So, I decided to postpone the session, though it looks now like it’ll have to wait until the weather starts getting warm again next year.  Hopefully, though, we’ll have the chance to do an indoor session sometime soon.
For today’s post, I’ve decided to go back to the last outdoor photo shoot I did near home, which was in June.  Here’s a photo I made of a model who was new to me at the time, Dane St. Clair (formerly known as Venus de Milo).  I know Dane much better now as a person as she was one of the models who accompanied me on my recent photo trip to Maine and Canada, but this particular photo was in fact the very first one that I made of her.
Stay tuned to see more.
